Lyra and classmates kick off the year with daily spelling bee
practice, making it more than just a test — it’s a fun challenge!
Here’s Lyra’s take on the experience and how it sparked their
enthusiasm.

Q: How did you start the year with spelling
bee practice?

Lyra: “We practice spelling every day for three
minutes, and it’s a blast! We all try to be the best
at spelling. It’s cool seeing how many ways there
are to spell words. We can’t wait to be like the
older kids and compete on stage next year!”

Q: How has the spelling bee helped
you with English?
Lyra: “Doing the spelling bee is awesome!
It’s not just about getting the words right;
it’s about thinking fast. It really helped me
be braver with speaking English. We love
it so much that we even made a fan song
singing about it!”
