The use of AI and e-learning in our curriculum:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming English education through multi-intelligence reading workshops that promote reading across the curriculum. Students explore a vast array of topics and subjects through reading, from STEAM education to national education priorities and value education, cultivating holistic literacy and critical thinking. The learning experience embraces multi-modal activities and outcomes: poster designs, crafts, engaging presentations, and e-learning tasks, all supported by AI tools that personalise learning paths, provide real-time feedback, and foster collaboration across disciplines.

School-based Writing Programme (P.3-6) & Vocabulary Teaching Curriculum (P.4-6)
Our school-based writing curriculum centres on the 16 Essential Skills for Plot Development to enrich content and ignite creativity in young writers. Through imagery writing techniques, students master descriptive writing with practical strategies and commonly used phrases, while a diverse range of themes—healthy lifestyles, navigating peer relationships and conflict, empathy and kindness, and self-reflection and gratitude toward parents—fosters a broad, engaging learning experience. We nurture a lasting passion for writing, and many students earn admission to elite secondary schools thanks to the strong foundation we provide. The programme also highlights impressive writing speed, enabling students to craft up to 300 words in just 15 minutes, and incorporates non-fiction texts to broaden their repertoire across various formats, including advertisements, descriptive pieces, and biographies. Our school-based vocabulary teaching notes also emphasises a structured, student-centred approach to word learning. Teachers scaffold vocabulary learning in stages, guiding students from explicit instruction to independent application. Students will learn how to understand a text by decoding unfamiliar words, a skill that supports reading comprehension across disciplines. The notes also focus on improving word attack skills, i.e., breaking words into smaller parts such as prefixes, suffixes, and syllables, as well as sounding out letter sounds and locating contextual clues to confirm meaning. To enhance understanding and provide personalised support, AI tools were used to aid students' understanding of challenging words, while teachers monitored progress and adjusted instruction as needed.
English Monday (P.1-6), Spelling Master Challenge (P.1-6) and Spelling Bee Competition (P.5-6)
Our school encourages students to speak English and practise phonics and spelling skills in a fun and engaging way. Students converse with the NETs freely during recesses and collect stamps during English Monday. Students also practise self-directed learning by choosing the words suitable for their level during Spelling Master. They spell words from the curriculum and collect stamps afterwards. For every five stamps, they receive a coin to get a chance to win the stuffed toy from the exclusive claw machine. For P.5 - 6 students, inter-form and inter-class Spelling Bee competitions are held to challenge the senior form students. They spell advanced and even unseen vocabulary using their phonics knowledge.
